"... the object is
TO GO HOME -- and to be safe.   I hope I'll be safe at HOME!"   -- George Carlin
precession clock™
Due to the precession, or wobble, of the earth's axis, which is to be chronographed by the earth wobble clock™ (or precession clock™) and which is currently thought to go around once every approximately 25,770 years, Polaris will reach its closest to north in February 2102 (coming even closer to apparent north, due to the affects of nutation and aberration, on the 24th of March 2100), so this would seem an ideal point to set as the ending of one of and the starting of another of the epochs of the precession clock™.
